Cafe Green Acre
For our 4th Pop Up Shop, I wanted to create a safe space for creatives to attend and be inspired. For a lot of creatives, coffee shops and cafes are places in the community to meet with others to collaborate and create. Cafe Green Acre was us reimagining our own cafe space, and how we would ideally build out a cafe with live musical performances, art, locally-created goods, and delicious drinks.
We were able to locate the perfect space for this event, Phoenix in Alameda, CA. Phoenix is an open co-working space that hosts a ton of local events, and provided the ideal space for Cafe Green Acre. Together with some of their staff, we collaborated on a drink menu to serve during the event.
For the live music, I wanted to bring in some of my favorite up and coming Bay Area artists to perform. I collaborated with my friends at Move Set Records to help me curate this lineup, and I honestly can’t believe we were able to pull off the lineup that we had. Shout out to Move Set Records for that assist.
And of course, Cafe Green Acre was the debut of our Fall 2019 release, the “Harvest Collection.” This was the first opportunity for the general public and supporters of the brand to come by and see this full collection in person. As with every anniversary release, we do a “World Tour”-themed item to commemorate different places in the world Green Acre items have touched. For 2019, we wanted to recognize that the brand is “From the Bay With Love”. We created the “From the Bay With Love - World Tour” graphic to live on the front of a few different silhouettes. On the back read “To the World”. With Green Acre, we want to recognize that even though we’re trying to spread as far as we can, we’re still rooted in the Bay.
Cafe Green Acre was one of my favorite events we’ve hosted, and I want to thank everyone who played a part in helping us plan and work the event. More events to come!
